The Featherweight

Ruby Wolf is thrilled to’ve made her feature film debut, starring opposite James Madio in the upcoming 1960’s period biopic The Featherweight which premiered as part of the 2023 Venice Film Festival. Madio plays the famed former Featherweight Champion of the World Willie Pep who, after a fall from grace, attempts to stage a return to the ring nearly fifteen years after the height of his career. Wolf plays his wife Linda, an aspiring actress from New York, who finds herself struggling to adjust to Willie’s life outside the spotlight in Hartford, Connecticut. Under the masterful direction of Robert Kolodny (cinematographer of Netflix’s Procession), the film features performances by Ron Livingston, Stephen Lang, Keir Gilchrist, Frank John Hughes, Lawrence Gilliard Jr., Jeremy Luke, and Shari Albert. The premiere was a part of Venice’s prestigious Orizzonti section, participating in competition with select films from its category, and received critical acclaim.
